Judge Magister Gabranth by Shoko-Cosplay Judge Magister Gabranth by Shoko-Cosplay
Gabranth was a dream.
I remember my first reaction when I played the game in 2007 " wooo amazing Gabranth!".
I always wanted to do this costume, but, it was lot of pain. It was near of 6 months of work about proportions, documentation, photos of helmet.
I constituate plans of armor, weapon and took many photos of the helmet during square enix stand in convention. After months of research, I bought foam in different size and I began.
I mixed the dissidia sword design and color of armor, I prefer this design compared to FF XII. But, I keep the helmet from FF XII. For the painting, It took two week on test, I wanted a " clair obscur" effect. On stage, the effects aren't enough visible. But on the photo, it seem good. The costume was made in two month of full work, it was my most ambitious costume. I was so tired during the con, I have not many photos. It's a full armor and, it was very difficult to wear and very hot. But, it was one of my most interesting dream. I was very surprise by people reaction. It was a moment of joy.I wanted to thank my friend because he help me a little for the helmet ( my horns were just a fail and hurt on the shoulder armors... the helmet took 2 weeks of work just for the assembly of pieces ;_;) for the cape; It's painted in many tones of white, red and black.I wanted a little relief of painting. (Sorry for my bad english <<)

Thankkk you ^^ I spend a big 6 months on it.( conception, realisation, finitions) :_: it was long as hell and the helmet was a really challenge because horns hurted my shoulders on each move, so, horns were a little higher. It was very hard to wear, so hot and no vision ^^' people were surprised because I am a girl...so, when I remove my helmet for breathe a little, people were amazed^^' it was strange to see.

This armor should be in the museum square enix * if there are *
If I had this armor it would put a dummy to admire it, I sat quietly in my house.:iconpyongiluplz:
My favorite part is the helmet and shoulder pads and the cape.

It is really kind ^^ I worked with my trading art figure and pictures of the official statue.I wanted to catch the good color scheme and it was hard :_: I am a big fan of Gabranth is was like my cosplay dream, but it wasn't so easy.I waited 4 years and practice a lot foam in order to feel comfident and say " ok let's doing Gabranth".But I am happy with the result.I am sure, If I made him in 2007...it will be a failure. My techniques weren't good and I wasn't skilled at painting too. With time, patience, all dream is possible.Even if it took years.

The color is beautiful too, personally I love that black metallic.:)
I guess the cosplay events that you participate you get good prizes :trophy:.

Thank you ^^ I prefer the black metallic too than the " greyish" used in ff XII. In Dissidia the color of Gabranth ( and design of the sword) is better in my personnal tastes ^^

I won first prize :) It was so crazy **
I was born on 28 may yes but I am lonely child ^^ Lot of people say I am strange because gemini confer me twice kind of personnality. It is strange...sometimes all is okay, I feel happy and creative and sometimes I feel very bad, without comfidence in myself, very clumsy... :/ now I feel better, I realised I must think on me for being happy.Don't being so close of people... recently lot of " friends" disapointed me.I was really sad... now I take time for me, going outside, having fun with hobbies... and it is good ^^ but maybe you're right you are twin lost sister ^^

The audience cheered long? :iconclappingplz:
When you look at the armor, or these photos as you feel? if I were you, every time I look at that armor I would feel full of confidence :la:

You're referring to yourself as a child.
One of the characteristics of the Gemini is that they have heart of child all his life.
Awwwwww :iconluvluvplz:I love the way you think: "having fun with hobbies... and it is good" I think that should I do to forget certain things I can not leave behind.:(

I will be Kanon :iconkanonplz: and you will be Saga :iconsagaplz:

This is epic! I really wanna know how you paint this. I just started making my own armor out of foam and I'm concerned after researching knowing that spray could damage the foam. I can't find fabric glue here in my country, so does white glue help?

I feel honored, thank you! It's made in foam ( EVA).Without painting it look " cheap" you know, the most important thing is to do correct finitions.Remove seamlines, flash or holes in foam. =)

At the end is all about the details and the painting. What so you use to remove the seamline and to get a smooth surface?
